According to the command's statement, Russian aircraft were flying without filed flight plans and with transponders switched off, creating risks for civilian air traffic.

NATO procedures were followed, with Polish pilots conducting visual identification and escorting the aircraft out of the area of responsibility. The command stressed that at no point was Polish airspace violated.

The Armed Forces said Poland’s integrated, round-the-clock air-defence system continues to reinforce deterrence and effectively secure national airspace.

The statement noted that Poland’s air-defence posture relies on permanent readiness and full integration with NATO structures, ensuring the Air Force can react immediately to any emerging threat.
