The communiqué, released on Sunday, said that the Russian army controls the Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and Mykolaiv regions.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian forces are continuing their offensive in the directions of Bakhmut and Avdiyivka in the east of the country. The Russians are using anti-aircraft defenses to cover their troops, and also using drones for aerial reconnaissance.

General Staff spokesperson Pavlo Kovalchuk reported that the Ukrainians had conducted six airstrikes, which “were aimed at destroying the enemy army, Russian combat equipment, radio-electronic equipment, or air defense positions and logistical facilities. In turn, rocket troops and artillery destroyed enemy command posts, as well as places where Russian military equipment and tank battalion personnel were concentrated - the 'Zoopark' artillery radiolocation station, the 'Zhitiel' communications jamming station, and a large part of the occupying force were destroyed.”

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions and preventing Russian troops from invading deep into Ukrainian territory. Attacks have been repulsed in several localities: Bohorodytsya, Pasika, Dolyna, Bakhmut, Pokrovske, Bakhmutske, Piska, Pervomaisk.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russians have carried out 10 missile and 24 air attacks on Ukrainian military and civilian facilities. In addition, attacks were also launched using tanks, combat vehicles and artillery.

During the last 24 hours, localities in the vicinity of Seversk, Kharkiv, Slovyansk, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhya were shelled. In addition, Peremoha, Hussarivka, in the Kharkiv region, Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk region, and Bilohirya in the Khmelnytsky region, among others, were also struck.

The Ukrainian government further reported that the Russians do not have precision weapons, so they are using S-300 guided anti-aircraft systems missiles. More than 500 such missiles have been launched on Ukrainian territory, some of which have not reached their targets. The Russians are supposed to have several thousand of those missiles at their disposal, but, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, most of them are useless and obsolete.
