Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 129,870: report
Around 129,870 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 3,215 tanks, 6,388 armoured personnel vehicles and 2,215 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.
On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces "eliminated" 840 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.
Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 460 multiple launch rocket systems, 222 air defence systems, 294 warplanes, 284 helicopters, 18 warships, and 1,952 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.
According to data cited by The New York Times, almost 200,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded in Ukraine since the start of the war on February 24, 2022.
Friday is day 345 of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
