Marcin Przydacz, a foreign policy adviser to Polish President Andrzej Duda, said he met with Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to talk about security challenges and the participation of Polish businesses in the postwar reconstruction of Ukraine.
During his visit to Kyiv, Przydacz laid a wreath at the capital's Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine on behalf of the Polish president.
He announced that he and Yermak agreed that "the Consultative Committee of the Polish and Ukrainian Presidents would resume work to improve bilateral cooperation in the context of the future reconstruction of Ukraine."
Yermak tweeted that he and Przydacz "discussed a wide range of issues in the field of defense support for Ukraine, European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and Poland's participation in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts."
Yermak also said that he "held a meeting with a Polish delegation" of officials including Minister for European Affairs Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk and Cabinet Minister Michał Dworczyk.
While in Kyiv, Przydacz also held talks with officials including Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Monday was day 383 of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
