Yuriy Malashko, governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, said that eight apartment buildings were damaged in the Russian missile attack, according to Reuters.
The city of Zaporizhzhia is the administrative centre of the broader Zaporizhzhia region in southeastern Ukraine, which is now partially controlled by Russia, Reuters reported.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
