Air raid sirens blared for over seven hours in the Ukrainian capital as Russian drones approached from multiple directions in two waves: during the night and early morning.
Ukraine's national news agency (Ukrinform) stated that "in the second wave of this morning's drone attack, enemy UAVs continued to strike Kyiv from specific directions, but none of the drones reached their intended targets."
Kyiv stands strong
Ukrinform reports that "more than 40 Russian drones were shot down as they neared Kyiv early Wednesday morning."
In July alone, Russian forces launched seven drone attacks on Kyiv using explosive-laden drones.
Kyiv's administration head, Serhiy Popko, confirmed that all drones were intercepted, with no casualties or injuries.
Simultaneously, Russian forces also attacked several cities in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Local sources reported no fatalities, with only a few fires recorded.
