Six injured in Russian drone attack on Ukraine's Kharkiv region: officials

Six people were injured after a Russian drone hit a bus in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region on Friday, officials said.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said one of those injured was in a critical condition.

In Kharkiv Oblast, Russia struck the Derhachi community at 9 a.m. local time on Aug. 2, hitting a bus and injuring six people, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said.

The incident took place near the town of Derhachi at 9 a.m. local time, the Kyiv Independent newspaper reported.

The Ukrainian air defence forces said they destroyed 11 Russian drones on Thursday and early on Friday.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.
