Power shortages have also been reported in Lviv and Mykolaiv regions. Ukrainian Railways has deployed reserve locomotives, and long-distance trains continue to run on schedule, though there are disruptions in electric train services, according to BBC News Ukraine.
BBC reporters have indicated that the power outages have also caused water supply issues in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and other cities.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko updated the public on social media about the tough situation, noting that the transmission system operator has quickly implemented emergency power cuts. Energy experts are actively working to address the problems.

Air defense systems were also active in western Ukraine, including in Lutsk, where both a residential building and an infrastructure facility were damaged, leading to at least one fatality.
Explosions have been reported in cities such as Odessa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Lviv, with authorities confirming that an industrial site in Poltava was struck, injuring at least five civilians.
