The overnight drone attack killed two women, aged 37 and 48, and caused a massive fire in the factory, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The industrial plant manufactured packaging for baby food, juices and household products, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General's Office.

A separate drone attack targeted an industrial facility in Poltava in central Ukraine without causing any casualties, the Reuters news agency reported, citing regional governor Filip Pronin.

The Ukrainian air force said it shot down 12 of 18 drones launched by Russia overnight over five Ukrainian regions.

Russia also used an Iskander-M missile during the attack, the air force added.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, starting the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 919 of Russia’war on Ukraine.
