While in the Polish capital, Blinken will hold talks with President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

The politicians will discuss further defence and energy cooperation between Poland and the United States, as well as additional aid for Ukraine, reporters were told.

On Wednesday, Blinken travelled to Ukraine with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, where they met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and senior Ukrainian government officials to discuss continued support for Kyiv’s defence against Moscow’s invasion, according to a statement.

The talks in Kyiv focused on "and how to ensure Ukraine can thrive militarily, economically, and democratically in the long term," according to the US Department of State.

The US Department of State said in a statement earlier this week that Blinken would meet with senior Polish government officials in Warsaw on Thursday to discuss "a range of important bilateral issues, including deepening our defense and energy cooperation, and our work as NATO Allies to support Ukraine’s defense."

Russia invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.

Thursday is day 932 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
