Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said on Telegram that rescue workers pulled the body of a woman from the debris of the clinic building. The initial reports had spoken of three fatalities and five injured, but search efforts extended into Wednesday as authorities feared more victims might still lie beneath the rubble.
Local officials said the Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia on Tuesday afternoon with a ballistic missile, striking the clinic, destroying its structure, and damaging nearby buildings.
Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets wrote on Telegram that at least 165 civilians were killed and 887 injured across Ukraine in November alone. Eight of the victims were children. According to Lubinets, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, 12,340 Ukrainian civilians have been killed and 27,836 wounded, a grim tally underscoring the ongoing toll of the conflict.
