According to a statement by the US Department of Defense, the new package will provide Ukraine with additional capabilities to meet its most urgent needs, including air defence capabilities; munitions for rocket systems and artillery; and anti-tank weapons.
The package contains unmanned aerial systems (UAS); counter-unmanned aerial systems (c-UAS) munitions; ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS); 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition; and High-speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARMs), according to the Pentagon.

Washington will also provide Kyiv with Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs); High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs); light tactical vehicles; and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) protective equipment.
Other capabilities include Javelin and AT-4 anti-armour systems; Tube-launched, Optically guided, Wire-tracked (TOW) missiles; small arms ammunition; and demolitions equipment and munitions, the statement said on Thursday.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the United States has committed USD 62.9 billion in security assistance to help the country defend itself, the US Department of Defense said.
