Polish presidential election: 37 committees, four officially registered candidates

As of now, there are 37 registered election committees and four officially registered candidates for the Polish presidency, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) has said.

Sylwester Marciniak, the head of the PKW, reported the latest figures. Three more election committees were registered, bringing the total to 37.

Regarding presidential candidates, two more applications were submitted, bringing the total number of officially registered candidates to four. Among them is Rafał Trzaskowski, the candidate of the Civic Coalition (KO), who was registered as the fourth candidate, following Sławomir Mentzen from the far-right Konfederacja, Grzegorz Braun from the even more extreme Konfederacja Korony Polskiej, and independent candidate Artur Bartosiewicz.

Trzaskowski submits a record number of signatures in the Polish presidential race, a significant milestone in the election process.

The deadline for registering election committees is March 24, while the deadline for candidate registration is April 4, 2025. Candidates must submit at least 100,000 signatures in support of their candidacy.
