The advice comes after officers received complaints from pensioners in the southern city of Nowy Sącz.
The OAPs said they had been approached on the phone with an offer of a COVID-19 test in return for payment, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Police issued a reminder to Poles that such tests can only be carried out in a laboratory or hospital.
Officers said anyone receiving a suspicious offer should call police on the 112 emergency number.
A total of 9,737 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 disease in Poland, with 385 deaths from the coronavirus so far, officials said on Tuesday morning.
