On Sunday , 19,000 refugees from Ukraine arrived in Poland, according to the agency.

Meanwhile, a total of over 6,833,000 people left Poland for Ukraine, including over 29,000 on Sunday, the Border Guard noted.

A Polish deputy prime minister said earlier this month that his country was "currently home to more than 2 million Ukrainians" after many who had fled Russia's invasion moved on to other countries or decided to return to Ukraine.

Poland in March passed a bill that offers wide-ranging support to Ukrainians escaping the Russian invasion of their country, which began on February 24.

The measure grants them residence rights and ensures access to educationhealthcare and social benefits.

83% of Poles are in favour of accepting refugees from war-torn Ukraine, according to a recent survey.

Saturday is day 306 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
