The two top diplomats talked about "economic relations, cooperation in education, cybersecurity, and green technologies," according to the Polish foreign ministry.
During their political consultations, Rau and Biruta signed an agreement on the training of diplomatic personnel, the Polish foreign ministry said.
It added that its "Diplomatic Academy will support the training exchange programme and the efforts of the Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in establishing its staff training institution."
Both countries condemned Russia's aggression in Ukraine, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Poland's Rau told reporters that the talks focused on "opportunities to step up cooperation in sectors such as agricultural production, energy, transport, machinery and equipment for the food industry, construction, and information and communications technology."
While in Warsaw, Rwanda's Biruta was expected to attend an annual conference of Polish ambassadors "as a guest of honour and keynote speaker," according to the Polish foreign ministry.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
Monday is day 481 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
