Deputy Defence Minister Cezary Tomczyk unveiled the appointments at a news conference in Warsaw on Tuesday.
Col. Dorota Kawecka has been appointed the new head of the military intelligence service SWW, Tomczyk said.
Meanwhile, Gen. Jarosław Stróżyk will lead the military counterintelligence agency SKW, he added.
Tomczyk told reporters that the new appointments represented a milestone for Poland and congratulated the new chiefs on taking charge of "the eyes and ears of the state."

Last week, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said his government would replace the chiefs of Poland's security services, including civilian and military intelligence and civilian and military counterintelligence, as well as the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA).
Tusk requested the opinion of the governmental Security Services Committee, the parliamentary committee on security services and President Andrzej Duda on the planned changes at the helm of the nation's security agencies, according to reports at the time.
On December 13, the parliamentary committee voted to approve the plan, private broadcaster RMF FM reported.
Officials on Friday said the governmental Security Services Committee also issued "a favourable opinion," state news agency PAP reported.
