The government will be sending 10,000 dehumidifiers to areas affected by the flood. This equipment is provided by European countries as part of the EU's civil protection mechanism.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk made an appeal at the crisis headquarters in Wrocław for dehumidifiers to be sent from areas where they are not currently needed. He urged local government authorities to report their needs to the Government Material Reserves Agency. In areas where the water has receded, cleanup and humanitarian aid are being provided to the victims.
During the crisis headquarters meeting in Wrocław, the deputy commander of the police announced the arrest of another looter and the discovery of fourteen new false collections for flood victims.
The first groups of children from flooded areas are on their way to "green schools" organized by the Ministry of Education. Among others, 60 young people from Kłodzko are going to Sopot for two weeks. Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka said at the crisis headquarters in Wrocław that there are 1,900 places for children in the Central Sports Centers, but more are needed, which is why she asked local government officials to report to the Ministry of National Education places where children can be accepted. Barbara Nowacka also said that over 3,000 schools were affected by the flood, with 412,000 students studying there. Four hundred thirty-one facilities are closed, including over 200 requiring renovation.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk has appealed not to cancel holidays in regions affected by flooding. He pointed out that many tourist destinations were not flooded and could still accept visitors. The Prime Minister emphasized that canceled trips result in financial losses for the region. He urged people to thoroughly check the situation in their planned holiday destination before making a final decision.
