“If Trump were president, Putin would be sitting in Kyiv right now,” said the U.S. Vice President in an interview with Bill Whitaker on CBS's “60 Minutes.”

The Democratic representative assessed that Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Ukraine would mean surrender for the country. “He talks about how he can end it on day one. You know what that is? It’s about surrender,” said Kamala Harris.

She also emphasized that Ukraine should have a voice in negotiations regarding its future, and that the current administration supports Ukraine’s defensive capabilities against Russia.

During the interview, she did not give a clear answer regarding the potential NATO expansion to include Ukraine, saying she would “deal with it if and when it arrives at that point.”

"Those are all issues that we will deal with if and when it arrives at that point. Right now, we are supporting Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against Russia’s unprovoked aggression," stated Kamala Harris.

She also addressed the situation in Israel, asserting that the U.S. will continue to work towards ending the conflict in the Middle East.

When asked about the alliance with Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, she responded that the more important question is whether a significant alliance exists between America and Israel. "And the answer to that question is yes," Kamala Harris noted.
