Residents and visitors will hear two signals: a modulated sound starting at 11 a.m. and lasting 3 minutes, and an hour later, at exactly noon, a second continuous tone signaling the all-clear.
This marks the first time in the city's history that such resident notification exercises are conducted.
Authorities will use all available communication methods: alarm sirens, messages from the Warsaw Notification System, alerts from the Regional Warning System, SMS alerts from the Government Security Center, and media announcements.
The goal of the exercise is to evaluate the system's performance, measure how effectively various communication channels reach residents, and help the public become acquainted with emergency notification methods.
Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski has urges everyone to remain calm.
The test will be conducted in partnership with the Ministry of the Interior and the regional governor's services.
The drills are a part of Warsaw's ongoing Safety Week.
