Geomagnetic storms may cause spectacular skies above Poland again

Starting tonight, Thursday night, experts forecast intense geomagnetic storms which can result in spectacular heavenly shows such as Northern Lights.

SpaceWeatherLive.com forecasts that Thursday night the Kp index will reach 8+ in its scale from 0 to 9, indicating a very high level of magnetic field disturbance around the Earth. 

The NOAA (North American Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) forecasts that there will be a magnetic storm of strength G4, level 4 on a 5-point scale, i.e. very strong. 

These are precisely the atmospheric conditions conducive to the Northern Lights - which Poland has seen quite a lot of recently.
