Professor Katarzyna Śledziewska, head of the university’s Digital Economy Lab said in a media interview that it is extremely important for Polish economy to notice the potential of AI, while keeping in mind the possible side effects.
The rate of implementation of new solutions based on generative AI shows, according to Sledziewska, that we can expect rapid automation of processes in mental work in the coming years.
She stressed that intelligent systems could replace humans in performing routine tasks and support or supplement them in performing more advanced ones more efficiently.
This could have different consequences, she added, depending on which public policy change management model is chosen.
“How many people will lose their jobs depends largely on the decisions of those managing the public administration and how this change is carried out,” professor Śledziewska said.
