This morning, agents from the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) arrested the President of Wrocław as part of an investigation into alleged crimes and irregularities at Collegium Humanum, Jacek Dobrzyński, the spokesman for the Coordinator of Special Services, said.

Following the process, he was transferred to the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice - Dobrzyński announced the news via social media.

The arrest is related to an investigation into alleged crimes and irregularities at Collegium Humanum, where the President had completed his studies.

He had previously stated that he paid privately for his education and passed the necessary exams for an MBA diploma.

After the arrest, he was transferred to the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice. The university’s rector, Paweł C., was arrested earlier in the year, facing charges of taking bribes for issuing fraudulent diplomas.

Dobrzyński's announcement adds to the mounting pressure around the ongoing investigation, which has revealed a widespread diploma-selling scheme involving politicians, business leaders, and military officers.

Earlier arrests linked to the case also included former MEP Ryszard Czarnecki and his wife, who are facing charges related to influence peddling and money laundering.
