The signing will take place when Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his visiting Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau meet in Warsaw around noon, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Canada's Trudeau on Monday attended an international event in southern Poland to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German Auschwitz death camp.

During their previous meeting in Warsaw in February last year, the two countries' prime ministers said that Poland and Canada enjoyed a strong partnership and were aligned on key geopolitical issues, including Russia's war against Ukraine.

Tusk and Trudeau also explored the potential for future collaboration in clean energy and the transition away from fossil fuels, and cooperating on nuclear energy projects, including small modular reactors (SMRs), according to reports at the time.
