Speaking to Sky News, Domański called for Europe to be actively involved in future peace talks on Ukraine.
Changing mindset in Europe
“Since the Munich conference, things that were difficult three months ago are now much easier,” he said, noting Poland had long urged NATO partners to boost military budgets.
He also welcomed the European Commission’s efforts to accelerate joint defense investments, explaining that such spending is funded by taxpayers and must be used efficiently through “common European initiatives.”
Hopes for Ukraine peace talks
While visiting London, Domański discussed defense and security issues with UK Treasury Chief Rachel Reeves. He expressed hope that the upcoming meeting between Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Donald Trump would yield progress toward a lasting peace.
However, he reiterated Warsaw’s stance against sending Polish troops to Ukraine in any prospective peacekeeping force, saying Poland has already provided extensive assistance.
