Of the new cases confirmed on Wednesday, 29 were in the central region of Mazowieckie, which contains the national capital Warsaw.
Meanwhile, 26 new infections were reported in the southern coal-mining region of Silesia.
The neighbouring province of Małopolskie, which is home to Poland's second-largest city of Kraków, had the third-highest number of new infections confirmed by officials on Wednesday, at 16.
The latest deaths in Poland’s coronavirus outbreak are 29 people with pre-existing medical conditions and six who died directly because of COVID-19, the Polish health ministry said.
On Tuesday, Poland confirmed 29 deaths and 188 new coronavirus infections nationwide, compared with one death and 73 fresh cases a day earlier.
On April 8, the country reported its highest daily toll of 954 deaths related to the coronavirus.
On April 1, the Polish health ministry confirmed 35,251 new single-day cases, the most since the pandemic hit the country early last year.
Poland's first case of coronavirus infection was reported on March 4, 2020.
1,307 in hospitals, 61,845 quarantined
The health ministry announced on Wednesday morning that 1,307 COVID-19 patients were in hospitals nationwide, 208 of them on ventilators, with a further 61,845 people quarantined for possible coronavirus exposure.
Meanwhile, 2,650,839 people have now recovered from COVID-19 throughout the country, the health ministry also said.
