Polish president, CIA chief meet in Warsaw

Poland's President Andrzej Duda has met with CIA chief Bill Burns, who visited Warsaw this week, officials have announced.

"President Andrzej Duda has met with the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, William J. Burns," the Polish President's Office said in a tweet on Wednesday.

"The talks focused on the current security situation," it added.

The Polish president's National Security Bureau (BBN) tweeted that "the topics discussed included the Black Sea incident" involving Russian Su-27 fighter jets and a US MQ-9 drone.

A US military MQ-9 Reaper surveillance drone crashed into the Black Sea in the early hours of Tuesday after a Russian Su-27 jet struck its propeller, the Pentagon said earlier this week.
