Dar es Salaam was the last stop on Andrzej Duda's six-day trip to East Africa focusing on political talks and efforts to tighten economic ties.
While in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania, the Polish president also discussed global security challenges amid Russia's war in Ukraine, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
On Friday morning, Duda held talks with Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan exploring opportunities for bilateral cooperation in areas such as tourism, agriculture, industry, information and communication technologies, water resources management and education, the Polish President's Office said.
Later in the day, the president, accompanied by First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda, visited a training centre for emergency medical workers in Dar-es-Salaam.
"Thanks to the Polish government and Poland's development assistance, and above all thanks to the Polish Centre for International Aid (PCPM), a life-saving programme is at work here in Tanzania: a programme for training emergency medical staff," Duda said.
"Poland supports medical rescue efforts by training people to effectively save lives," he added.
