The results were announced by party leader, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, with 22,126 votes cast by members of the coalition, which includes representatives from Platforma Obywatelska (PO), Nowoczesna, and Zieloni.
Trzaskowski's rival, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, received 25.25% of the vote.

The presidential campaign will officially begin on January 8, 2025, according to Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, who is also running for president.
