During his visit, Hołownia plans to meet with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, parliamentary Speaker Jussi Halla-aho and other senior officials.
The agenda includes topics such as security in the Baltic Sea region, bilateral cooperation and the ongoing war in Ukraine, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
The discussions are also expected to address recent developments in the Middle East, particularly the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria.
While in Helsinki, Hołownia is also expected to visit a shelter for residents in the Finnish capital.
The visit aims to facilitate an exchange of views and experiences on civil defence, population protection and critical infrastructure, according to officials.
Hołownia in November announced his bid for the presidency in next year's election.
