The head of the Polish government, during a speech at the official visit of the President of Ukraine in Warsaw, accused Russia of planning terrorist attacks worldwide.

This claim was reported by outlets such as "The Guardian" and "The Independent." Earlier, "The New York Times" reported on planned sabotage activities by Russian services aboard airplanes.

"Poland has played a key role in Europe in responding to sabotage and diversionary acts organized not only in Poland but also by Russia. Some of the sabotage acts or preparations for diversion were of a very dramatic nature," emphasized Donald Tusk, adding that he would not go into the details of these actions.

The head of the Polish government confirmed that Russia planned acts of airborne terrorism not only against Poland but also against airlines worldwide.

Kremlin responds to Polish PM’s accusations of Russia planning global terrorism

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded to the accusations, claiming, "Poland is well known for such unfounded allegations. It often tries to be a leader in this area compared to other European countries," as quoted by the pro-Kremlin news agency TASS.

Polish Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, Tomasz Siemoniak, when asked on Polish Radio’s First Program on Thursday about the sabotage acts mentioned by Prime Minister Tusk, emphasized that the issue had been noticed by global media.

He explained, "It involves placing explosives in parcels, which were then sent by courier companies, including by air, with the risk of an explosion occurring in the plane carrying these packages."

Russian services behind thwarted terrorist plans, says Polish Minister

Siemoniak stated that there was no doubt that these actions were carried out at the behest of Russian services. When asked if the incident had occurred on planes flying to Poland, he replied, "I will not say anything more on the matter. It did not happen in a factual sense, because we would all have known about it. However, the actions of Russian services created such a threat."

The minister confirmed that Polish and Western intelligence agencies thwarted the Russian aggression plan, which included preparations for terrorist attacks and sabotage, including setting fires to facilities. He added that these actions were part of a broader international plan by Russia, involving many countries, not just Poland.
