71-year-old activists details mistreatment after Israeli deportation
On Tuesday, the Global Sumud Flotilla shared on social media the front page of a Scottish newspaper, which will publish testimony from a 71-year-old activist deported by Israel.
She said an Israeli officer had slammed a metal door on her broken leg, and other detainees reported having their medication confiscated and receiving minimal food and water.
Thunberg fires back at Donald Trump over ‘anger’ comments
On the same day, Thunberg also responded sharply to US President Donald Trump after he suggested she suffers from anger issues, saying she appreciated his concern but implied he could take advice himself.
“I hear Donald Trump has once again expressed his flattering opinions on my character, and I appreciate his concern for my mental health,” she wrote on Facebook.
“I would kindly receive any recommendations you might have to deal with these so-called ‘anger management problems,’ since - judging by your impressive track record - you seem to be suffering from them too,” she added.
Earlier, Trump had called Thunberg “angry” and a “troublemaker” after her detention and deportation by Israel following the flotilla’s attempt to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
“She’s just a troublemaker… She’s no longer into the environment now. She has an anger management problem. I think she should see a doctor,” he told reporters.
