A Brussels correspondent for the Polish broadcaster said on Wednesday she had obtained “unofficial” confirmation of the move at the European Commission.
The decision will mean controls will be lifted at Poland’s borders with Germany, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, correspondent Katarzyna Szymańska-Borginon added.
Poland temporarily closed its borders to non-residents on March 15 in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.
A total of 27,668 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 disease in Poland, with 1,191 deaths from the coronavirus so far, officials said on Wednesday morning.
