The Polish president's top foreign policy adviser, Jakub Kumoch, has told reporters that Duda's trips this week to Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania are part of consultations the Polish leader is conducting ahead of NATO's Brussels summit and his upcoming meeting with Biden in Warsaw.
Biden will travel to Poland following meetings with NATO allies, G7 leaders and European Union politicians in Brussels this week to discuss international efforts to support Ukraine and "impose severe and unprecedented costs on Russia for its invasion," according to a statement by the White House.
NATO leaders including Biden are scheduled to meet for an "extraordinary" summit in Brussels on Thursday to discuss Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has said the summit will "address Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, our strong support for Ukraine, and further strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defence."
On Friday, Biden will travel to Warsaw, where he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Duda the next day, Poland's PAP news agency has reported.
