"During the conversation, Secretary Blinken informed FM Rau about the results of his visit to Kyiv," the Polish foreign ministry said in a tweet on Monday.
The United States on Monday said it would reopen its embassy in Kyiv after Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin visited the Ukrainian capital and hailed its success so far against Russia's invasion, the Reuters news agency reported.
"In terms of Russia’s war aims, Russia has already failed and Ukraine has already succeeded," Blinken told a media briefing in Poland after returning from the weekend trip to Kyiv.
'Courage and resilience of Ukrainian people'
Blinken said in a tweet on Monday that he "saw the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people firsthand" during his visit to Kyiv with Austin.
"During our meeting with President Zelensky we reaffirmed our unwavering support for Ukraine as it withstands Russian aggression," he added.
The US administration pledged USD 713 million worth of new assistance to Ukraine and allies in the region, including an extra USD 322 million in military aid for Ukraine, Poland's PAP news agency reported.
