From 12 January until 1 February, visitors to Warsaw will be able to see a historical outdoor exhibition about the "Economy of the Third Reich", prepared by Dr Tomasz Panfil of the Institute of National Rememberance (IPN).
The exhibition reminds visitors that several global names profited from collaboration with the Nazis including by the use of slave labour.
In an interview for the Polish Press Agency (PAP), the author of the exhibition, Dr Tomasz Panfil, explains that the collaboration of the Nazis with German and Austrian business had different phases. At first this was a marriage of fear and convenience: business shared a common enemy with the Nazis - the communists.
The collaboration became progressively more lucrative and ruthless, involving the forced dispossession of Jewish property and business and the use of slave labour and camps.
The exhibition is located in front of Dom Polonii, on Krakowskie Przedmieście street, at the beginning of Warsaw's Old Town.
