On a visit to China, Belarusian President Lukashenko met with Xi Jinping and discussed what they referred to as "the Ukrainian Crisis"

China has consistently avoided referring to the "Russian invasion", and this line was continued during Lukashenko's visit on Wednesday.

Xi reaffirmed China's purported commitment to peace, saying his country seeks talks as a means of ending the war.

However, China continues to avoid blaming Russia, failing even to refer to a "Russian invasion", instead using phrases like the "Ukrainian question".

Lukashenko said that he "fully agrees" with China's position, to seek a "political solution" to the crisis.
