Finland has closed its entire border with Russia in response to "organised" migration from or via Russia. The Finnish government has issued a statement that Russia has "weaponised" migrants as part of its "hybrid warfare":

Finland's Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said that "Russia has created this situation and Russia can end it too."

The border will remain open for transport of goods only.

Poland also experienced migration crisis at its border with Belarus in 2021, a crisis that was artificially generated by Russia and Belarus.
