The truckers have been protesting for over a month, demanding the reintroduction of restrictions for Ukrainian trucks entering the European Union.
"We held the first meeting with the newly appointed minister of infrastructure of Poland Dariusz Klimczak in Warsaw," Kubrakov stated, adding that "It is important to come to a common understanding of the figures and data on traffic and on market share held by our and Polish carriers."
Ukraine heavily relies on road transport with EU member Poland for exports and imports, especially since the Russian invasion nearly two years ago affected Black Sea shipping.
Poland's new pro-EU Prime Minister Donald Tusk has committed to resolving this conflict and criticized the previous government for neglecting the protesting truckers.
