The discussions focused on strengthening Polish-Malaysian bilateral relations and addressing key issues in international security.

During the meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Sikorski, accompanied by a Polish delegation, engaged in talks with the Malaysian leadership on topics ranging from agricultural and defense industry cooperation to new technologies.

The discussions also covered global security concerns, particularly in Ukraine and the Middle East, according to a statement by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sikorski's visit to Southeast Asia, which began on Monday and is scheduled to conclude on September 5, includes stops in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The trip aims to enhance cooperation in security and economic sectors, with a particular focus on Poland's stance on resolving Indo-Pacific conflicts through peaceful means.

Accompanying Sikorski on the visit are Deputy Ministers Paweł Zalewski and Michał Kołodziejczak, representing the defense and agriculture sectors, respectively. Their goal is to bolster bilateral ties in areas such as armaments and agricultural trade.

Earlier in the week, Sikorski visited Singapore, where he met with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and other senior officials. He also engaged with the Polish diaspora and delivered a lecture at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, discussing Poland's position on issues such as Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the upcoming Polish EU presidency.

"Singapore is an important, promising partner and an investor in Poland, as well as a strategic hub for conducting business throughout the region," Sikorski noted in a statement posted on platform X.
