Although votes were still being counted, Trump secured 277 Electoral College votes, surpassing the 270 needed to win the election, according to the Associated Press.
The popular vote stood at 51 percent for Trump and 47.5 percent for Harris, the AP reported.
It said Trump won more than 71.7 million votes, while Harris garnered more than 66.9 million.
Poland’s president and prime minister on Wednesday morning congratulated Trump on winning the election.
If his victory is confirmed, Trump will return to the White House in January, securing a second non-consecutive term in office, news outlets reported.
