The discussions focused on tensions in the Middle East, including the safety of Polish nationals in the region. President Andrzej Duda expressed hope for the gradual stabilization of the situation in Lebanon, emphasizing that no Polish soldiers stationed there have been injured due to shelling.
According to the Polish Presidential Office's social media, the visit took place in a friendly atmosphere, with talks addressing regional security and the situation in Lebanon, where a Polish peacekeeping contingent is deployed.
The President highlighted that the morale of Polish soldiers in Lebanon is high, although the situation remains dangerous, and stabilization is expected.
During the visit, there was also a demonstration of military cooperation between Jordan and Poland, including joint operations with Poland's GROM special forces.
President Duda reminded that the Polish contingent is in Lebanon as part of a UN peacekeeping mission and assured that the safety of the soldiers was a key topic in his talks with the King, the Prime Minister of Jordan, and the commander of the Polish contingent.
He further noted that no Polish soldiers have been injured and expressed hope for stabilization as Israeli forces withdraw and hand over territories to Lebanese forces.
