Poland, Canada boost security cooperation

Kosiniak-Kamysz said that Polish-Canadian relations have never been as strong as they are now, praising the collaboration between the armed forces of both nations, particularly in supporting Ukraine.

He thanked Canada for its commitment to the security of NATO’s eastern flank, emphasizing the importance of strong alliances in ensuring security.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to work on a new agreement for 2025-2026, aimed at further enhancing security cooperation.

Both countries are united in their support for Ukraine. Canada has pledged assistance since the start of the war.

Kosiniak-Kamysz also discussed NATO investments in Europe, including military training programs and cooperation in handling advanced military equipment, such as Leopard tanks.

Minister Blair thanked Poland for hosting Canadian troops and emphasized the strong ties between the two nations, which continue to cooperate in defense and in supporting Ukraine.
