"Yup, he is a Soros puppet," Musk wrote on Monday in response to a post by Wojciech Pawelczyk, who describes himself as "the biggest Trump supporter in Poland."
Pawelczyk, an associate of MAGA activist and influencer Jack Posobiec, claimed that Sikorski is married to journalist and author Anne Applebaum and has close ties with Alex Soros, the son of billionaire George Soros and president of the Open Society Foundation, which supports liberal causes.
Musk escalates feud with Polish foreign minister
Elon Musk’s remark was another attack on Sikorski following their Sunday dispute over Starlink, the satellite internet network used in Ukraine and partially funded by Poland.
After Musk stated that "if I had turned off Starlink for Ukraine, the entire front would have collapsed," Sikorski responded with a warning: "If SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider, we will be forced to look for other suppliers."
Earlier, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio entered the debate, accusing Sikorski of spreading false claims and insisting that he should express gratitude for Starlink’s contribution to Ukraine. Rubio argued that without the satellite network, Ukraine would have been defeated long ago, and Russian troops would now be stationed at Poland’s border.
Trump administration ally calls for more respect toward Poland
On Monday, Republican Congressman Don Bacon, known for his strong support of Ukraine, pushed back against Musk’s remarks during an interview on CNN, criticizing the billionaire’s comments about the Polish foreign minister.
"I served with Polish soldiers, I was in Poland, and I don't know of any country that is more pro-American than Poland," Bacon said in an interview.
"They want our presence, and they also know that the collapse of Ukraine would be devastating for their national security - not only for Poland but for the Baltic states. And I thought, why is a White House official, who was not even elected, humiliating a Polish foreign minister?" he added.
"This is not okay. We need more discipline in the White House. Poland is our friend. If you have a problem with them, call them and talk to them, but stop publicly criticizing our friends in a world where we have real threats from China, Russia, and Iran."
