Sales of motor vehicles shot up by 24.3 percent last month in year-on-year terms, and those of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics rose by 5.4 percent, the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
Meanwhile, sales of furniture, household appliances and consumer electronics went down by 6.7 percent, and those of clothing and shoes dropped 19.3 percent, according to Statistics Poland.
In terms of current prices, retail sales last month were 4.7 percent higher than in June 2023, Statistics Poland said.
In month-on-month terms, retail sales in June were 0.3 percent higher than in May, the statistics office also reported.
