The company estimates that in 2024 the Polish travel agencies offered ~23,5% more summer vacation options than last year.

The top three destinations remained unchanged compared to the summer of 2023, though. Tunisia, Spain, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Albania, Italy and Malta took the following places this year, while Croatia dropped out of the top ten.

"This year, we are observing a large increase in interest in Tunisia, especially among families. In the 2+1 arrangement, the sales dynamics amounted to almost 80% - and with parents travelling with two children the growth even exceeds 120%" - informed Anna Podpora of Wakacje.pl, quoted in the publication.

As reported, the number of departures from Polish airports has also increased. In the reviewed period, local tourists most often started their journey from the Katowice airport, which has the widest network of charter flights this year. Warsaw's Chopin Airport came second, followed by the ones in Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk and Kraków.

The report also added that 71% of Polish holiday-goers choose week-long trips, while 19.6% go for summer vacation lasting from 8 to 13 days. As much as 90.5% surveyed stated that they choose an all-inclusive stay - and 97% books a vacation with air travel included.
