Polish wages up 13.1% y/y in 2023: stats office

The average wage in Poland rose by 13.1 percent last year compared with 2022, the country’s statistics office has reported.

The average gross monthly wage in 2023 was PLN 7,199.22 (around EUR 1,655, USD 1,800), the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said on Thursday.

Statistics Poland reported earlier this week that average wages in Poland's corporate sector in September 2024 were 10.3 percent higher than in the same month last year.

Poland's government last month approved a proposal to increase the country’s minimum wage to PLN 4,666 (EUR 1,085, USD 1,196) a month from January next year.

At the moment, the minimum monthly wage in Poland is PLN 4,300.
