The Czech Republic boasted the lowest jobless rate in the bloc in November, at 2.8 percent, while Poland and Malta were in joint second place, each with 3 percent, according to the Eurostat agency.
Meanwhile, Spain had the highest seasonally-adjusted jobless rate in the EU, at 11.2 percent, and Greek unemployment was the second-highest at 9.6 percent, according to the latest available data.
Eurostat reported that the EU average for November was 5.9 percent, stable compared with October and down from 6.1 percent in November 2023.
Poland's statistics office GUS, which uses a different methodology, reported last month that the Polish jobless rate edged up to 5 percent in November, from 4.9 percent in October.
