The figure came in stronger than expected by analysts, who had forecast a 5-percent increase in Polish industrial production last month, state news agency PAP reported.
In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in September was 16 percent higher than in August, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 5.7 percent in year-on-year terms in Septembery, while going up 4.1 percent month on month, according to the state-run statistics office.
According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, Poland's seasonally-adjusted industrial production had risen 2.4 percent in August compared with the same month in 2024.
