Outside hitter Kamil Semeniuk was Poland's top scorer in the final, contributing 17 points, while teammate Tomasz Fornal added 15 points, including an impressive five aces. Fornal's outstanding performances throughout the Final Eight tournament earned him the prestigious Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
The triumph marks Poland's third Volleyball Nations League title, following previous victories in 2023 and 2025. The Polish national team also won the former World League in 2012, the competition that preceded the VNL before it was replaced in 2018.
Poland has established itself as one of the most consistent teams in international volleyball, finishing on the Nations League podium every year since 2019. Under head coach Nikola Grbić, the team has now collected five VNL medals—three gold and two bronze—highlighting an era of remarkable success.
The victory also repeated Poland's previous triumphs over the United States in major finals. In 2023, the Poles defeated the Americans 3-1 in the VNL final in Gdańsk, while in 2012 they swept the USA 3-0 to win the World League title in Sofia. Last year, Poland claimed the VNL championship in Ningbo with a straight-sets victory over Italy.
In the bronze medal match, Slovenia secured third place after defeating Japan 3-1, completing another memorable edition of the Volleyball Nations League.
